Nikon’s newly released Flagship DLSR - D5 & D500

At the beginning of 2016, Nikon has released the FX-format DLSR D5, exceeding standards of the past in speed, accuracy and resolution. This camera extends professional photographers’ possibilities and targets professionals’ demands as key to revolution, providing a steady and reliable response to wide range of scenes and subjects.

D5 offers opportunity for persistent photographers who like to challenge themselves in different difficult shooting situation, covering from accurately capture moving subject to ultra-high definition video and using AF system’s intelligent and diversified tracking mode to shoot subjects in motion. D5 has a light sensitivity as high as ISO 102400 and is able to expand to Hi 5 (equivalent to ISO 3280000), capturing details and colors in barely visible brightness

Nikkor Interchangeable Lens Production Exceeds 95 million

In 1959, Nikon (then Nippon Kogaku K.K.) launched SLR Camera Nikon F and the first Nikkor lens for Nikon SLR, including NIKKOR-S Auto 5cm f/2. Nikkor’s fine tradition has been respected and kept ever since.

Based on accumulation of optical technology and independently developed various technology, Nikkor series embodied with anti-reflection coating, Nano-crystal coating, PF (Phase Fresnel) lens which is light and small as well as chromatic aberration compensative, fluorite lens that compacts telephoto lens, and fluorine coating that makes dust, water drops, grease easy to wipe.

In July 2015, Nikon announced that total production volume of interchangeable lens for Nikon’s DSRL cameras and Nikon 1 series exceeds 95 million.
